See Yah Leaves!

Greetings Friends of Oak Hill,

Fall Colors are beginning to fade to sticks here in Hanover and as we adjust our focus from bikes to skis we are excited to welcome our ski community en masse back to the center. Here are a few things that have been happening since the last newsletter.

First we want to give a huge shout out to folks who volunteered their time last month at our annual Volunteer Day. The community showed up strong and you put the final touches on summer trailwork with seed and mulch that has already started to show some green. You got the lodge looking great with a nice coat of stain ready to take on the elements. You organized and loaded our brand new Race and Event Shed with all the bits and pieces ready for an exciting competition season. Valiant effort all. Thanks again for all your work, volunteers! Save the Date for next year's Mid-September OHOC Volunteer and Community Day. If you can’t wait that long to work on local nordic trails, check out Green Woodlands Trail Day on Nov 15, from 10-1, details on FB or IG

Pass SALES are Open! Now’s the time to buy your 2025-26 Oak Hill Season Pass. Our ski season is relatively long, even down at our low elevation, with well over 100 days of skiing last year.  We know our passes have great value and we want you here from the first to the last snowflake! Get your pass HERE today. Accessible community skiing is our mission and we ask all our pass purchasers to consider our Sustainer Pass options if you have the means to do so, and/or consider adding an incremental donation to your cart at checkout. Your tax deductible donations help cover the cost of operating your non profit ski center.  We thank you for going the extra Kilometer with us!

If you haven’t had the chance to get out on our new mountain bike flow trail this summer season, there’s still some time! The reviews have been beyond excited and our riders are super psyched with the final product. With ample parking, OHOC is the place to meet for anything from a morning before-work regular, a lunch ride, a training lesson, or a weekend outing! The new climbing trail completely avoids pavement and delivers you handily up to the top of Oak Hill. Whether you continue up to the Trescott single tracks or hit the flow trail back down to the Nordic center, you are in for a real thrill. At the bottom, you can choose any number of lines through our skills park, pump track, and jump lines. Pick your skill! Stay tuned for trail notifications and closures in the event conditions get too wet or muddy as we change seasons. Remember, Hunting Season is ramping up, see Season Dates HERE Please share the woods SAFELY.

Our second Annual Lease Program kicked off this past week. We got lots of great skis, boots and poles onto many local groms and adult skiers alike. Our lease program caters to everyone from young racers to adults just getting into the sport, without the high cost of purchasing brand new gear or the headache of a garage full of outgrown, barely used equipment. We take it all back and you start fresh next year! If you missed pick up night Wednesday, we still have a decent selection of gear still to be spoken for. Please reach out or stay tuned for an announcement of the arrival of the remaining Lease Gear.

Speaking of getting in shape for ski season. Oak Hill is hosting a multi session Nordic Walking Program starting Sundays in November. This will be a great opportunity to meet and see ski friends on the trails without skis and ski clothing. Click HERE to see the Flyer.

Finally, we are excited to unveil a new line of OHOC merchandise. We know you are as proud to ski here as we are and want you to show it! Look for some new accessories to be available for purchase all winter long and get ready to look cool in your Oak Hill gear.

Waiting impatiently to turn this place white!

See you on the Trails,

OHOC Team
