The cool weather may have you thinking about fall, but it has us thinking about snow! It’s going to be a great season at Oak Hill Outdoor Center! This year will introduce lighting on the snowmaking loop, improved accessibility with a new connector trail that bypasses some of the more challenging hills (also with snowmaking and lighting), a paved parking lot, a groomer shed for the equipment and (hopefully) a cozy warming hut on the stadium.
Although our generous donors made these capital improvements possible, we rely on our season pass sales to provide ongoing operational support. Pass sales do not cover the full cost of operations which include energy, snowmaking, lighting, daily grooming, and equipment maintenance. Just for interest, last season, sales covered 64% of our operating expenses.
