Dear Friends and Skiers of Oak Hill,
We are so pleased to have seen many of you out on the trails already this season. We feel very fortunate to have had so many skier days already. And on what?!? It has hardly snowed, yet that Thanksgiving snow, now over 20 days old, provided us with some really good days and many happy skiers.
What's more, we have completed snowmaking on the south loop of our system at Oak Hill, with enough snow to open the Silver Fox South trail for the season! We are awaiting the departure of this warm air mass, likely to be Thurs morning, and begin preparing the trail for a Saturday season opener, including NIGHT SKIING! We will be open for skiing until 8:00pm both days this weekend.
What's even more, the team has moved our snowmaking ops over to the north loop. Optimistically looking for more snowmaking action starting Saturday morning. The forecast for Hanover looks really cold this weekend; with optimal snowmaking conditions, water in Storrs pond and an aim to have a skiable trail on Silver Fox North potentially next week. For a total of 3K of machine made and lit trail on Christmas week.
As always, Trail Passes are Required, we work hard to support your skiing, your trail pass only makes that possible.
Thanks again for all your support and all your smiles out on the trails.
The OHOC Team
